It is created from distressed leather intended to resemble tree bark, the lace and flesh-toned corset are the body being turned into a tree,” Burrows says.”

Paris Jade Burrow’s debut collection ‘Its Real if it Bleeds’ communicates vulnerability and fear though sheer fabrics. The X-Ray Slashed Edwardian Top and Skirt Set speak to the designers lived experience as a young queer Australian, with the Edwardian style referencing the extreme changing views of gender and sexuality from the 1870s to the 1920s.
